Yes, our food and beverage minimum to hold a private event at your location is 40 people.

Yes, Fish Tale Express does not provide trash cans for private events, but we will take away all our refuse at the end of the party.
We will serve at any chosen location. All events include: buffet tables, serving dishes, utensils, plates, napkins, cups, lobster bibs and wet wipes. We do not provide tables and chairs, so please plan to provide a seating area if required.
The truck is booked on a “first come, first served” basis. Longer lead times are always beneficial. All catered events must be booked no later than two weeks before the event.
Each party differs depending on what you are interested in having for your event. We charge on a per head basis. Once the price per head has been determined simply multiply that number by the total number in attendance, add a 18% gratuity and 6.35% CT state tax and that will be your total cost. Fish Tale Express accepts cash and all major credit cards
We can cook in rain, but you would need to provide a covered area for seating. Additionally, tents are recommended for guests on hot, sunny summer days.
Fish Tale Express will give back 10% of the amount spent at the truck toward your fundraiser. Over the years Lenny and Joe’s has donated over 1 million dollars to local charities.
We usually arrive approximately 1 hour before your serving time for the purpose of setting up the cooking and buffet area.
We would be happy to accommodate any request. We offer pre determined menus or feel to create your own. In addition we offer non seafood items, such as chicken, hot dogs and hamburgers.
If your guest count goes below the minimum number (40) you will be charged for 40 people. If your guest count goes up please let us know we will do all we can to accommodate your needs.
In order for someone to receive a meal they will need to provide a ticket. We will count up all the tickets at the end.
We can do your event almost anywhere you wish. We can easily have your event at your home, place of business, or a rental facility. Here’s a list (insert link) of many facilities that allow outside caterers to serve your needs.
We take safety seriously. If any of your guests have allergies, please let us know in advance and we will accommodate you and your guests.
A final guest count is due no later than 10 days in advance. Entrée selections and a final serving time are due at that time as well.
